Tomasz Głowacz
Born on February 14, 1981, in Tuchów. He graduated from Tarnów’s visual arts and renovation studies. A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. Diploma in the studio of Sculpting Techniques and Technologies under the supervision of Roman Jacek Kieferling. Thesis entitled Conservation of Boulle-style marquetry. An attempt to use synthetic resins to imitate tortoiseshell, awarded with the Prize of the President of Krakow Jacek Majchrowski in the category of the Best Diplomas of the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow in 2009. He works on the conservation of monuments and painting. He runs the Alkazar Conservation of Works of Art studio, where he and his team have carried out a number of restoration projects.
He practices easel painting, which he closes into extensive cycles. He appreciates outdoor work. He organized over a dozen open-air painting sessions in Poland and abroad. In 2011, he organized a groundbreaking open-air painting in Venice, which initiated next trips, during which a painting group was formed and adopted the name of the Venecqa Group.
